As of July 1, 2007 New York City instituted new “noise mitigation laws”. Sound Seal is excited about having our products specified and being listed as a provider in their “..products and vendor guidance sheet”.
Several areas where our products relevant including, “construction devices and activities” (28-102), “perimeter noise barriers” (28-107) and “temporary or portable noise barriers” (28-108). In addition every subsection of 28-102 that requires “noise pathway control” can benefit from our BBC-13-2” panels or our “noise tents”
When one of these alternate noise barrier is used,
BBC-13-2” may also be required to
satisfy the portion of the standard that calls for “no leaks or gaps
that will allow noise to pass through the barrier”
(28-107) and calls for those
gaps to be filled with a noise attenuation material (28-106).
Additionally, Sound Seal’s BBC-13-2” is mentioned by name in the noise pathway control” (28-102 C) section under “portable noise shields” and “portable noise enclosures”. We have what we refer to as a “jackhammer enclosure” which is designed to enclose a jackhammer & it’s operator to reduce noise in a construction area.
